Ford is recalling a small number of 2026 F-150 pickup trucks after discovering that a suspension stabilizer rod may not have been secured correctly during manufacturing. Although only 17 vehicles are affected, a rod that shifts from its intended position could interfere with the truck’s handling and increase the risk of a crash.
What is the problem?
The recall concerns fasteners used to secure the rear suspension stabilizer rod. Ford found that the fasteners on certain F-150 trucks may not have been tightened properly during assembly. If the fasteners loosen, the stabilizer rod can move out of position, affecting how the vehicle handles, particularly when being steered or maneuvered.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the defect could result in a loss of vehicle handling and control, creating an increased risk of a collision. The recall is listed under NHTSA Campaign Number 26V577000 and Ford recall number 26S66.

Ford will replace the affected stabilizer rod fasteners at no cost to vehicle owners. Recall notification letters began to be mailed on September 15, 2026.
